First aired: December 22, 2017.

On this year-end edition of the show hosted by Garry Pierre-Pierre we revisit some of the bigger stories we covered in 2017. We examine the Far Rockaway recovery after Superstorm Sandy and the lessons that disaster could hold for Puerto Ricans who are fleeing to the US. We see how the New York Public Library’s plans to create affordable housing is putting it in the crosshairs of critics who say the initiative is a means of fleecing poor people. We also look back on some of the efforts to create a more effective summer immersion program for students not making the grade.
