Chris Hedges: An inspiring activist, writer, and speaker, Mr. Hedges won a Pulitzer Prize for his reporting as a foreign correspondent for The New York Times. He is the author twelve books, including the New York Times best seller Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt (2012), which he co-authored with the cartoonist Joe Sacco; Death of the Liberal Class (2010); Empire of Illusion (2009). He is now a weekly columnist for Truthdig.com and is a senior fellow at The Nation Institute in New York City.
