Jacquelyn Murch Kamin
Bio
Ms. Jacquelyn Kamin was appointed to the New York City Panel on Education Policy by Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields in August, 2002. From 2000-2002, she was a program analyst for the Least Restrictive Environment Coalition, doing research, writing and outreach on delivery of special education in New York City.
Ms. Kamin was a founding member of the School Based Planning Committee (now the School Leadership Team), served as President of the PS 87 Parent Association, Inc., President of the Community School District 3 PA/PTA Presidents Council, and chaired the city-wide Chancellor’s Parent Advisory Council (CPAC) for two years.
Ms. Kamin graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1978, and practiced law for six years before becoming an at-home mother and volunteering extensively in her children’s schools.
