Robert Lopez is the Tony®, Grammy®, Oscar® and Emmy® winning co-creator of the smash hit musicals Avenue Q (three Tony Awards including Best Original Score and Best Musical) and The Book of Mormon (nine Tony® Awards including Best Book, Best Original Score and Best Musical). With wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez, he co-wrote songs for Winnie the Pooh (Walt Disney Animation Studios, 2011), Finding Nemo: The Musical (playing at Walt Disney World since 2006), and the Disney animated feature Frozen (2014 Oscar® for Best Original Song “Let It Go”) starring Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, and an original stage musical called Up Here (La Jolla Playhouse). He shared two Emmy Awards® for his music for The Wonder Pets and an Emmy® nomination for the Scrubs musical episode. His work has been seen on South Park, The Simpsons, and Phineas and Ferb. Upcoming projects include Disney’s Frozen 2. One of 12 artists to win Emmy®, Grammy®, Oscar and Tony Awards (EGOT). Yale University grad, BMI Workshop, Dramatists Guild council. A NYC native, he lives in Brooklyn with Kristen and their two daughters.
