Lisa Corrine Davis has been a visual artist for more than 40 years, after earning a master’s degree from Hunter College. Over that span, her abstract work has explored different shapes and colors, with a strong focus on geometry, mapping, and networks. She moved from early work that explored race and identity to later works that, sometimes, took their inspiration from old maps of the Soviet Union. This interview took place in her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
