On this episode of Café con Felo, Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez speaks with Whitney Curator Marcela Guerrero, who is the co-curator of the 2026 Whitney Biennial. In 2022, she became the first Latina principal curator in the history of the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has been instrumental in increasing Latin representation at the museum as well as installing bilingual captions for the artwork. Ms. Guerrero grew up in Puerto Rico before earning multiple degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Commissioner Rossana Rosado | Cafe con Felo
On this episode of Café con Felo, Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez speaks with Commissioner Rossana Rosado of the NY State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Ms. Rosado grew up in the Bronx with a large family, tales she recounts in her new book, Bronx Attitude. Ms. Rosado talks about her career including as editor and publisher of El Diario NY, and her time in the criminal justice system. She was appointed the Acting Commissioner of the NY State Division of Criminal Justice Services by Governor Kathy Hochul in 2022.

Congresswoman Nydia M. Velázquez | Café con Felo
On this episode of Café con Felo, Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez speaks with outgoing Congresswoman Nydia M. Velázquez about her past, present, and future. Growing up in Puerto Rico with a father who was a sugarcane farmer, the Congresswoman became the first Latino elected to the New York City Council. She has been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives since 1993, but has decided to retire from her role as a public servant.
