Hosted by literacy expert and CUNY professor Dr. Linda Hirsch, EdCast brings together diverse and expert viewpoints to provide in-depth analysis of issues from pre-K to post-secondary instruction. Through interviews with notable educators, researchers, authors, students and government leaders, the program seeks to clarify the often-polarizing conversations surrounding education today – frequently delving into important topics well-before the popular press. These include learning to read, restorative justice, Latinas in higher education, news literacy, and the impact of COVID-19 on students. With Linda’s background and connections to innovators in the field, EdCast ignites meaningful conversations about education and its vital role in society.
