Senator Schumer talks about the devastation of 9/11 - recalling images that won't fade - and the misery and destruction, brought by Hurricane Sandy. In both cases, Mr. Schumer witnessed the energy and determination of New Yorkers to move forward. With this spirit in mind, Senator Schumer outlined plans designed to safeguard New Yorkers from future natural disasters.
