The Vulcan Society’s primary objective is to educate African American New Yorkers about the opportunities available within the City Fire Department. They specifically go into the goals moving forward for the Vulcan Society, such as recruiting and examination help. They also look at the social implications of race and ethnicity within the New York City Fire Department.
