Bel Canto: The Tenors of the 78 Era profiles 12 of the great lyrical tenors of the early 20th century, when voices were heard in person or on 78rpm recordings.
Matching representative recordings with rare film footage, each of the episodes has a biographical and musical focus, and features narration and interviews with people who knew the singers as well as experts like singer Stefan Zucker and German music writer Jürgen Kesting.
