He is also an Author of several books of poetry such as "The Grey Album: On the Blackness of Blackness", "The Art of Losing: Poems of Grief and Healing" and "Blue Laws: Selected and Uncollected Poems, 1995-2015". In this discussion, Carol Jenkins discusses his work as the new Director of the Schomburg, exhibitions and the passion behind his poetry.
