The American Museum of National History was founded in 1869 and is now one of the world's preeminent scientific and cultural institutions. Our guest, Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant is not only a Conservation Scientist at the museum, but the only black woman Scientist at the museum.

In her studies, Dr. Wynn-Grant has traveled the world researching large carnivores, such as black bears and African lions. She is also involved with the Museum's Education Department's Science Research Mentoring Program that will host 60 inner city students of color on their first hiking and research trip to Black Forest Park in the Hudson Valley this year.
