The story follows young Alexander, who, after watching and helping with many Sunday dinners, is given the challenge of making a dessert for his father all on his own.
In addition to discussing the book, Alexander also reflects on his diverse career, sharing insights from his time as both a celebrated chef and a Tony and Grammy Award-winning opera singer, recognized for his work on the cast recording of Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin.
