Matos Rodríguez speaks with Whitney Curator Marcela Guerrero, who is the co-curator of the 2026 Whitney Biennial. In 2022, she became the first Latina principal curator in the history of the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has been instrumental in increasing Latin representation at the museum as well as installing bilingual captions for the artwork. Ms. Guerrero grew up in Puerto Rico before earning multiple degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
