Previous to this, she was the CEO of Elmhurst Hospital, helping manage the hospital's staff and patients through the COVID-19 pandemic and helping to secure millions of dollars for the hospital. Previous to this appointment, she started the Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens. She is also a graduate of the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy.
