Host, Jerry Carlson, professor of film studies at The City College of the City University of New York, discusses Chinese film, "Stolen Life" ("Sheng Si Jie") with Dr. Martha P. Nochimson, associate editor of Cineaste Magazine. Nochimson and Carlson examine the film's plot (destruction of the mother-child relationship) and theme. They also discuss Li Shaohong's (director of "Stolen Life") education and film credits.
