Phil Pepe, one of the premier New York City sports writers of the last forty years and author of “1961*: The Inside Story of the Maris-Mantle Home Run Chase,” sits down with Doug to talk baseball. Pepe was the New York Yankee beat writer for the “New York World Telegram” and “Sun,” and he was the “Daily News” Yankee reporter from the late 60s to the early 90s. He is the author 46 books and a former President of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
