Micheline Blum, Director, Baruch Survey Research, Baruch College, joins host Doug Muzzio to release the results of Muzzio and Blum’s just-completed Baruch College Survey Research project tabulating New Yorkers’ perceptions of, and attitudes toward, the NYPD – on the NYPD’s handling of crime and protecting from terrorists; on police practices including stop-and-frisk, profiling, and a focus on Muslims; on treatment by the NYPD; and on quotas (“numeric goals”) for tickets, stops, arrests. The survey results are being released simultaneously with the 9 AM airing of the show. Muzzio and Blum will also compare results to polls taken 10 and 20 years ago in New York City, and recently in Philadelphia and elsewhere.
