The panel explores the impact of the financial crisis on aid to state and localities, along with the ramifications of leaner budgets on affordable housing, tax policy, and social services in New York and throughout the nation. A host of questions are then posed by members of the student audience, requiring panelists to wrestle with the broader impact of the election on communities of need in various cities.
