Episode Details
Original tape date: March 23, 2010.Moderator Bob Liff and a panel of experts discuss the composition and mission of the 2010 New York City Charter Revision Commission. The Commission has been charged by Mayor Michael Bloomberg with the responsibility of reviewing various provisions of the City’s governing document, its Charter, to determine what reforms, if any, should be considered in November and beyond. A lively debate ensues, one that examines the power of Mayor and City-wide officials (such as the Public Advocate), the City Council, the Borough Presidents and land use decision makers, as well as the 8 million citizens who live in New York City.
