This edition: A New ERA for Women's Leadership
TweetEpisode Details
Original tape date: February 22, 2023. First aired: February 28, 2023.The CUNY ETR Internship Program is honored to bring together a panel of pioneers in Women's History for an important discussion that will air as Women's Month begins.
In New York State, New York City and around the country women occupy positions of power in more places than ever. However, entry into those positions continues to be an uphill climb much steeper than it is for men, and steeper still when race and/or gender are factored in. The panel explores the rules and biases that create discriminatory roadblocks for women, how things have changed, and discuss the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in New York. Will current and future women leaders have a seat at the table, or will they have to bring their folding chairs as Shirley Chisolm suggested? Watch and find out.
