John Yao, a graduate of Queens College's Aaron Copland School of Music, makes his intimate life moments louder, fuller, and grander by transforming them into music for a big band. Brooklyn College alum, Sol Yurick, took inspiration from the distant past to explore the social dilemmas of the present in his novel-turned-cult-classic-film, The Warriors. And Hunter College graduate Lisa Corinne Davis is a visual artist who constructs abstract visuals informed by maps and identity.
