(1997, documentary, 120 min.) The story of the Blue Note record label and its founding in 1939 by two German Jews who had emigrated to New York from Nazi Germany. Blue Note made many historic jazz recordings. Musicians interviewed include Max Roach, Ron Carter, Andre Previn, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana and Taj Mahal. Dir.: Julian Benedikt.
