Ralph Fasanella is one of the most important American painters of the 20th century. Fasanella's art captures and critiques much of the American experience from post World War II through the 1990's. This documentary comprises almost 20 years of coverage of Fasanella and his work, along with art historian Paul D'Ambrosio, Ph.D., curator of the exhibiton, and author of the book “Ralph Fasanella's America,” who are featured voices as are family members. Dr. D'Ambrosio is interviewed at the Fenimore Art Museum, in Cooperstown, NY and in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to discuss Ralph, his Art, and the painting, Lawrence-1912-The Great Strike/Bread & Roses.

Ralph Fasanella was born on Labor Day 1914; Labor Day 2014 will be the 100th anniversary of the Artist's Birth and many events are being planned around the nation to commemorate him and his works.
