Host James Day interviews John Houseman, a director and producer of film and theater. In part 2 of this interview, Houseman talks about the Federal Theatre, and working with Orson Welles on Panic, The Cradle Will Rock, the rise and fall of the Mercury Theatre company, his experiences in Hollywood producing 23 films, and many topics covered in his autobiography Runthrough. Houseman had recently made his acting debut at age 71 in The Paper Chase. Taped December 3, 1973.
