CUNY's Fatherhood Academy and  the Empowering Student Parents Program help students who are also parents negotiate the many responsibilities of parenting alongside the demands of academic life. These programs enable college-age parents to be both good care-givers and good students. We’ll also hear from students who have participated in these initiatives and have benefited from their many services.

  • EdCast is a program created by educators to tackle today’s most pressing education issues. Hosted by literacy expert and CUNY professor Dr. Linda Hirsch, EdCast brings together diverse and expert viewpoints to provide in-depth analysis of issues from pre-K to post-secondary instruction. Through interviews with notable educators, researchers, authors, students and government leaders, the program seeks to clarify the often-polarizing conversations surrounding education today – frequently delving into important topics well-before the popular press.
