Ms. Goodman discusses her book, The Exception to the Rulers, and the responsibility of the media to be a “sanctuary for dissent.” She addresses the corporate control of the media and the need for more independent outlets that can band together and eliminate the manipulation of corporations. Ms. Goodman stresses the shrinking number of media owners and the way that this can create and uninformed public.
