TweetEpisode Details
Original tape date: March 14, 2006.Ms. Agnes Gund whose family has always been into art, has spent most of her adult life promoting beauty and the spirit of art. Starting in her 20's, in 1967, as a member of the International Council of the Museum of Modern Art, Ms. Gund discusses the procedures used to purchase and accept gifts of art for the museum. She defines the difference between modern art and contemporary art and describes the roles of women in the art world. Ms. Gund encourages every one to collect art as she explains that even the tiniest apartment can still have a collection started on very little money.
