Part of Code Pink's Women Say No to War campaign, Dr. Rashad Zaydan and Faiza Al-Araji speak about the difficulties facing the citizens, and specifically the women of Iraq. Ms. Al-Araji shares how the false arrest and kidnapping of her son finally forced her family out of their home in Baghdad. Dr. Zaydan discusses the difficulty of sending her daughters off to school when she is uncertain that they will return home unharmed. Both women elaborate how the changes in the constitution have set women's rights in Iraq back to where they were before 1958. They make a plea for peace and hope to find a “culture of forgiveness” between our two nations. Blanche Wiesen Cook of CUNY TV’s “Jewish Women in America” serves as a special guest co-host.
