Author Karenna Gore Schiff discusses her book “Lighting the Way,” which profiles nine women who have used their political skills to achieve remarkable progress in their quest for equality and social justice. The profiled women have influenced major moral movements in American history ranging from civil rights to public health issues. The oldest daughter of former Vice President Al Gore, Karenna Gore Schiff grew up surrounded by politics. Through her book she looks to capture the essence and importance of public service.
