Original tape date: January 15, 2008.Ronnie visits with Catherine Abate, former New York State Senator. Ms. Abate is an attorney who specializes in public policy debates. She was appointed by Governor Mario Cuomo in 1986 to be Executive Deputy Commissioner of the New York State Division of Human Rights, and in 1988 to be Chair of the New York State Crime Victims Board. Since 1999, she has been the President and CEO of the Community Healthcare Network, and is a frequent lecturer on human rights, criminal justice, and health care management issues.
