First aired: November 13, 2013.A teacher, mother, wife, and a Black Sash member, Jeanette Carlson describes the privileged life of the whites and the victimization of blacks in apartheid South Africa. Ms. Carlson's husband, Joel Carlson, one of South Africa's first anti-apartheid lawyers and author of "No Neutral Ground", exposed slave-labor in the farm-labor system, and worked as a civil rights lawyer. Ms. Carlson concluded early on that this was no place to raise children.
