Francisca Chika Cuy who is from Guatemala and has lived in Brooklyn for 10 years, is an artist of traditional Mayan embroidery, an art form that she learned as a kid but has developed in the US, right now she is looking to advance her career by enrolling in college, she is helped by Eddie Deleon, and Admissions Counselor at the CUNY Welcome Center, Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Juan Carlos Marin is in a healing process after the death of his son last year, and music has been a great tool for that process, and as part of this process he wants to talk to his friend, the documentary filmmaker Gisela Sanders.
Maria Vera, an immigrant students rights activist, takes part in a panel about DACA and the recent changes this policy has suffered. Surrounded by fellow students, activists, and high ranking CUNY officials, María engages in a necessary debate about the consequences and possibilities of the present and future of undocumented students in New York.
