TweetEpisode Details
Original tape date: July 23, 2008.We look at the risks journalists around the world face every day. For some journalists from other countries who have now settled in the US, practicing their profession back home was a dangerous endeavor. They sometimes did so under the threat of imprisonment, torture and even death. In this episode we meet Roozbeh Mirebrahimi, an Iran journalist who was imprisoned and tortured for his reporting. We also profile Nowy Dziennik, the largest Polish newspaper published in New York City.
