This edition: Hurricane Sandy: 1 Year LaterTweet
First aired: October 23, 2013.
On this edition of Independent Sources, we focus on the fate of the more than 300 people displaced by Hurricane Sandy who may have no where to go now that federal funding for the city's hotels program has run out. We learn about a group of volunteers helping to rebuild areas still recovering from the storm. We hear about a project that's trying to get more New Yorkers involved with the city's plans to prepare for climate change. Then we meet a member of the ethnic media who was one of the unsung heroes of the storm.
