On this episode of Italics, we head to the studio for an interview with New York Times bestselling author, filmmaker, and playwright Adriana Trigiani. Adriana grew up in Virginia and has made Italian American life and culture central to her work. Her novels — from Big Stone Gap and The Shoemaker’s Wife to her latest, The View from Lake Como — celebrate family, heritage, and the immigrant journey. She has also written and directed films, created The Origin Project to inspire young writers in Appalachia, and earned international recognition for her contributions to literature and culture.
