She sits down with CCNY Professor Warren Orange who teaches the popular History, Culture and Politics of Hip Hop course. They define the elements of Hip Hop and discuss CUNY’s involvement in the genre.
Elena also talks to the former editor and chief of The Source - Kim Osorio and the Creative Director for Wu Tang Productions - Danny Hastings - to specifically talk about Latinos involvement in Hip Hop.
The episode closes with Ralph McDaniels - the creator and host of the legendary Hip Hop show Video Music Box and one of his co-hosts Tuffy Questell - as they discuss how CUNY played a role in their careers and how the revolutionary show has played an integral role within the Hip Hop community. #WEPA
