Original tape date: October 1, 2000.Edward T. Rogowsky, himself instrumental in establishing the Model Senate Project, discusses the program with Miguel Montez of SUNY and Jill Simone Gross of Hunter College, CUNY.
The Project, aimed at Hispanic students in the State and City Universities, is part of a larger statewide annual conference in Albany each year. Students go through extensive training before traveling to Albany to participate in mock sessions of the State Senate, discussing one or more Bills of consequence in that legislative year.
