En este episodio iniciamos en Midtown Manhattan, con la compañia de danza Abakuá radicada en Nueva York y fundada en el 2000, esta compañía ha desarrollado un estilo único inspirado en la diferentes danzas afrolatinas y gracias a su trabajo tabajo tan original ha conseguido muy rapidamente un reconocimiento internacional.

Después através de dos artistas en diferentes disciplinas nos adentramos al mundo de la Santeria, Felix “Pupi” Insua famoso por su trabajo recuperando el folklor cubano en la danza y Ricardo Bacallao cineasta que explora esta religion en su documental, nos hablan de su experiencia heredando y practicando la santeria.

Y finalmente Patricio Lerzundi nos lleva hasta la calle 39 de Manhattan a entrevistar al embajador Rubén Beltrán, Cónsul General de México en Nueva York. Con él hablará de los programas que actualmente adelanta el consulado y de los proyectos que se estarán implementando en este año desicivo para una de las comunidades de mayor impacto en la ciudad.

We begin today's episode in Midtown Manhattan with the Abakuá dance group. Established in New York and founded in 2000, this company has developed a unique style, inspired by different Afro-Latin beats, and through such original work have quickly attained international recognition.

Then, through two artists from different disciplines, we take a look at the world of Santería. Felix "Pupy" Inzua, famous for his work reviving Cuban folklore through dance, and Ricardo Bacallao, a filmmaker who explores this religion through his documentary, tell us about their experiences of inheriting and practicing Santería.

And, finally, Patricio Lerzundi takes us to Manhattan's 39th Street, where he interviews Rubén Beltrán, Consul General of Mexico in New York. They'll discuss the programs that the Consulate is presently carrying out and the projects that will be put into place this decisive year, for one of the communities with the greatest impact on the city.
