En éste episodio queremos honrar abril, como el mes internacional del autismo. Iniciamos con la entrevista de Patricio Lerzundi a la doctora Marisela Huerta, especialista en el diagnostico y tratamiento del Trastorno del Espectro Autista, quien trabaja en el Centro para el autismo y el desarrollo cerebral del New York Presbyterian Hospital.

A continuación conoceremos a un joven de 18 años no verbal, que se encuentra dentro del espectro del autismo y quien a través del arte plástico ha logrado encontrar su voz.

Mas adelante conoceremos a Creando Comunidad Neurodiversa, un grupo de madres que se brindan apoyo mutuo e intentan educar a la comunidad sobre lo que significa vivir dentro del espectro autista.

Y finalmente conoceremos desde la perspectiva de una madre, el cómo ha llegado a entender y vivir el diagnostico de su hijo, su pequeño nos lleva a la escuela Aim High, a donde asistió durante los años de pre-escolar.

In this episode, we pay homage to April, which is World Autism Awareness Month. We begin with Patricio Lerzundi's interview with Dr. Marisela Huerta, who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the Autism Spectrum Disorder, who works at the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain, at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Next, we will meet an 18-year-old, non-verbal young man who is on the autism spectrum, who has found his voice through art.

Later, we will get to know the Creating Neurodiverse Community, a group of mothers who give each other mutual support and try to educate the community on what it means to live within the autism spectrum.

Finally, we will hear from one mother's perspective about how she has learned to understand and live with her son's diagnosis. Her young son will take us to Aim High, where he attended his preschool years.
