We kick off this episode in Bushwick, were we visit actress and dancer Emma Pfaeffle, who tells us about her Latino roots' artistic influence and her role in the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" musical in Broadway.

Next, in City Hall, Patricio Lerzundi interviews Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez, the first Latino woman to be Secretary of State of New York, who tells us about the importance of public education, Latinos in the history of this country, and the future of Puerto Rico, the land of her ancestors.

Later, we travel the city hearing the testimonies of Puerto Ricans and Nuyoricans after the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and the close connection between the Puerto Rican diaspora and their "island of enchantment."

In Midtown, we interview the popular Venezuelan alternative rock band La Vida Bohème, winner of two Latin Grammy Awards.

Then, we go to the Cervantes Institute, where Carmen Boullosa interviews the famous Cuban author and scriptwriter Senel Paz, who came to the city invited by the Havana Film Festival, New York.

And we finish in Queens, with a visit to Terraza 7, the legendary bar that's managed to defy the gentrification phenomenon with musicians and artists that bring their music to the Jackson Heights community.

Iniciamos este episodio en Bushwick para visitar a la actriz y bailarina Emma Pfaeffle, quien nos cuenta acerca de las influencias artísticas de su herencia latina y de su papel en el musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory en Broadway.

Despues, en City Hall, Patricio Lerzundi entrevista a Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez, la primera latina en llegar a ser Secretaria de Estado de Nueva York y quien habla de la importancia de la educacion pública, de los latinos en la historia de este pais y el futuro de Puerto Rico, tierra de sus ancestros.

Mas tarde, recorremos la ciudad para escuchar testimonios de puertorriqueños y nuyoricans, luego de la devastación que dejó el huracán Irma, y la estrecha relación de la diáspora boricua con su Isla del Encanto.

Luego en Midtown entrevistamos a la reconocida banda de Rock alternativo de Venezuela La Vida Bohème, ganadora de dos premios Grammy Latinos.

Y llegamos al Instituto Cervantes donde Carmen Boullosa entrevista al reconocido escritor y guionista Cubano Senel Paz quien llegó a la ciudad invitado por el Havana Film Festival NY.

Terminamos en Queens, visitando Terraza 7, el legendario bar tertulia que ha logrado sobrevivir al fenómeno de la gentrificación, con músicos y artistas que llevan sus ritmos a la comunidad de Jackson Heights.
