First aired: February 12, 2026.Celebrating Black History Month, we visit the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) for a conversation between board director Danny Jiminian and executive director Melody Capote about the institute’s origins and mission. We also meet the founders of El Consulado NYC, an artistic and community-driven space created by the Venezuelan diaspora—where there are no stamps, passports, or paperwork, only color, art, and shared stories. And because February is also a month of style, we close in a Midtown workshop with Don Hugo, a tailor who, after more than 30 years in the U.S., gives back by offering free lessons to fellow immigrants.
