Meanwhile, 2020 is shaping up as a critical year for women. One more state needs to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment before the E.R.A. can become part of the Constitution. Will it happen and what will be the impact? And abortion rights are more vulnerable than they have been in decades. More and more states have passed severe restrictions and a critical case is heading to the Supreme Court. Will 2020 be a make or break year for reproductive rights?
