Episode Details

Original tape date: January 14, 2020. First aired: January 17, 2020.

-The Iran Crisis clearly raises issues of war and peace. But this is a presidential election year and Donald Trump is facing an impeachment trial. Eleanor Randolph and Clyde Haberman discuss the political fallout from the U.S. killing of Iran's top general.

-Some major productions coming to Broadway this Winter, including "West Side Story," "The Lehman Trilogy" and "The Girl From the North Country." NY Times chief theater critic Jesse Green previews the season.

-NY Times Correspondent Andy Newman takes deep dives into the jobs of other people. He talks about his reporting on the folks who collect and recycle cans and bottles; "Mechanical Turks," who do tiny digital jobs for an Amazon platform and make just pennies per job; and retail workers at Old Navy, who need to use 7 apps to do their jobs.
