This edition: High Stakes for The Dems

Episode Details

Original tape date: February 27, 2020. First aired: February 28, 2020.

Segment One: What are the big takeaways from this week's Democratic debate? How close Is Bernie Sanders to locking up the Democratic nomination? Will Mike Bloomberg's half billion dollars in spending pay off on Super Tuesday? Does Joe Biden still have a path to the nomination?

Guests include former City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, now Vice-Chair of the NY State Democrats, and Eleanor Randolph, NY Times contributing writer and author of "The Many Lives of Michael Bloomberg."

Segment two: NY Times Finance Editor David Enrich talks about his new book "Dark Towers." The book investigates the relationship between German financial giant Deutsche Bank, which has paid billions in fines for all kinds of misconduct including laundering Russian money, and a New York real estate developer named Donald Trump. Deutsche was the only big bank that would lend to Trump. Why was that?
