She is the former president of the PEN American Center and author of 15 books of fiction as well as a host of non-fiction works, including “Reading Like a Writer.” Her latest book takes on a classic, which has been a best seller for more than 50 years, but is also one of the country's most banned books. “Anne Frank: The Book, The Life, The Afterlife” has just been published by HarperCollins. Francine Prose helps us see the diary with new eyes and we can re-appreciate this young girl's zest for life and extraordinary talent.
