TweetEpisode Details
Original tape date: March 30, 2011.Sheryl welcomes Mary McCormick, President of the Fund for the City of New York. No, it doesn’t solicit funds to refill the city’s coffers. It’s a dynamic organization created by the Ford Foundation in 1968 with the sweeping mandate to improve the lives of all New Yorkers. It honors the city’s unsung heroes through its Sloan Foundation awards. It provides funds to encourage studies in the sciences and mathematics, and provides bridge loans to non-profit organizations that are waiting for their committed funds to arrive.mcc
