Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams discusses the recent actions involving the NYPD and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and shares his feelings about the protests that have taken place throughout the city and the country, which were brought about by the police-involved deaths of unarmed black men Eric Garner in Staten Island, New York, and Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Borough President Adams, who formerly served in the NYPD for 22 years, and the New York State Senate for 6, shares his aspirations of one day becoming Mayor of New York City.
