Nicky Marrero, one of Fania's greatest timbaleros. If you must know one thing about the history of Puerto Rican music in the United States it must be that salsa, allowed Puerto Ricans (island and U.S. born) to not only claim their unique identity amongst themselves but share it with the world.

We spend some time with Grammy- nominated jazz saxophonist Miguel Zenon. He reflects on the questions of identity that recently inspired him to record his latest album Identities are Changeable.

We visit with composer and multi- instrumentalist Angelica Negron. Originally from Carolina, Puerto Rico, Angelica moved to the United States after spending years in Old San Juan's underground music scene.
