Dr. Marta Moreno Vega founded the Caribbean Cultural Center and African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) in 1976, author, an academic, and very recently, the inspiration for a Marvel comics issue focusing on Taíno culture and Puerto Rican identity.

Beloved for her iconic role as Maria on Sesame Street, Sonia Manzano talks about her difficult upbringing, being a Latina role model on television, and her writing career.

This segemnt explores the creative process used by Puerto Rican community muralist, María Domínguez, and students from I.S. 406 in East Harlem/El Barrio in Manhattan, New York.
